Homemade Baby Shower Favor

Author: Jennifer McCleary

Give great gifts! Homemade baby shower favors can add a very nice touch to your baby shower. By making your favors, you can customize them to the theme of your party, and to your guest of honor. There are a number of different things that you can do.

My favorite homemade baby shower favor is very simple, and serves to help a local charity. It is simply a small baby bottle that you fill with candy and a tag. On the tag, ask your guests to empty the candy and then fill the bottle with spare change and dollar bills. On the tag include the address to a local womans shelter or pregnancy crises center and ask your guests to donate the money that they collect to that charity.

You will only need a few supplies, and an afternoon to create these simple, meaningful homemade baby shower favors.

The first thing that you need to do is gather your supplies. You will need a baby bottle for each guest, some candies (I usually use after dinner mints) and some cardstock and ribbon.

Print up the directions and the charity information on the cards. I use my computer for this, but if you have nice handwriting, you can make it look very pretty and personable. I put the directions on one side of the card and then the address of the shelter on the other side. This keeps the card at a nice size.

Then, all you have to do is fill your bottles and tie the cards to the bottles with your ribbon and you have a great homemade baby shower favor.
