Easy Baby Shower Invitation

Author: Jennifer McCleary

Forget about purchasing thoughtless and expensive invitations from the store, ones that you know your guests are just going to throw away. Making baby shower invitations can be a fun and easy and also quit a rewarding task. People will notice how much effort you put into inviting them and will take your party more serious. By making invitations yourself, you can customize them to the theme or color scheme of your shower. Follow my simple steps below and you will have created great looking invitations in no time.

The first thing you need to do is pick your color scheme or theme. By choosing your color scheme or theme ahead of time, you can have a better idea of what you need for your invitations.

After you have chosen your color scheme or theme, the next step is to visit your local craft or scrap booking store. Pick some printed paper in the color scheme or them of your choice. There are a ton of cute designs in every color and theme imaginable.

When you have chosen your pattern paper, choose cardstock in a coordinating color. Then you just need to pick out some matching ribbon, stickers, and accessories.

To assemble your invitation you will need to cut your paper first. I usually cut my pattern paper pieces in 4 x 6 inch rectangles and my card stock in 5 x 7 inch rectangles.

Once you have your pattern paper pieces cut, print your party invitation on them. You can handwrite them, or format a page on your computer and print off the invitation information.

After your invitation information is printed, line up both the pattern page and the cardstock page so that there is an even border of cardstock around the pattern page. Punch two holes through the pattern and cardstock papers. Tie a ribbon in the holes and make a bow.
