It's a familiar challenge: What presents to buy the guys in your life?
Here's a suggestion that may steer you in the right direction: automotive art. Prints and posters showcase classic cars, sports cars and muscle cars. Racing includes NASCAR, Formula 1 and dragsters.
Guys love cars. There's nothing more of a "guy thing" than cars. They like looking at cars. Automotive art looks great in the den, the cubicle, the home office, even the corner office. And when both members of a couple are into cars, then the art goes "over the mantel."
Automotive art is now coming into its own. Ken Eberts, president and founder of the Automotive Fine Art Society, feels "car art has been fueled by the exploding interest in classic cars and the original muscle cars."
Among the first galleries to specialize in automotive and motorcycle art is Legacy Motors Automotive Art Gallery. The gallery sells prints and posters around the world via its Web site. Over 40 artists are represented.
"One of the surprises is how many celebrities purchase automotive art," says Michael Knab, founder of the Legacy Motors Gallery.
