Do a web search at Google or any other search engine on completing home surveys at home and you literally see hundreds of websites. As with any opportunity there are good ones (legitimate) and bad ones (scams), finding the good ones is often a difficult trial and error process.

That being said, once you are able to find a good legitimate company you then need to make certain you complete the surveys correctly to maximize your income potential. Many people fall into the pitfall that completing surveys will make them rich, that just is not true. There are very few get rich quick opportunities that I know of, short of the PowerBall lottery, and what are your chances of winning that?

There is money to be made with online surveys if you use them properly. As with any opportunity it will take some dedication and time investment, along with some money to start.

I first go involved with online surveys through a sponsor. Here are the guidelines he provided when begining an online survey opportunity.

Make sure that you fill out the application and your personal profile thoroughly, if the company uses one.

Your profile is very important in determine the type and number of survey invitations received. Your personal information such as where you live, marital status, what kind of job you have, where you shop, your age, sex, etc. are all part of this profile.

We all have some misgivings about trusting the Internet and may not be comfortable providing that information into the profile. However, if you plan on working with a survey company you need to build a trust with them and that means giving up some of your privacy. Use your common sence, my credo is that if it sound to good to be true, it probably is!

Basically, the number of surveys you'll take depends on the number of companies you register with, the amount of information you provide them, and your personal profile. It is also important to have seniority with them, the best surveys go to the people who have been there the longest and already have shown a good history of completing the surveys in a true and accurate manner. They need legitimate thoughtful and true responses. All you have to do is speed thru a couple of them and give false info and you'll find yourself not qualifying for many more.

Do your research, as with any online opportunity there will be people who love it and people who hate it. Take the opinions with a grain of salt. The people that love it may be doing that so you sign up with a company they are an affilate of, which may not be legitimate. The ones that hate it probably went into the survey opportunity thinking they were going to quit there job the next day. See what the middle ground people say, their opinions are usually more accurate.

What ever you do if you decide to sign up with a survey company treat your survey opportunity like you would a part-time position, meaning, show up (at your computer), work the amount of hours you would if you had a conventional part-time job, and do good work. The best thing is that this is your opportunity and the hard work and dedication you provide benefits you not some boss.
